We are excited to share that our H.264 Decoders and Encoders are selected by FIFA's official broadcaster to broadcast live soccer events to fans around the world. After careful review and evaluation of appropriate headend equipment from a dozen providers, the official FIFA broadcaster, decided to use UMH160 decoder and UMH252 encoders in signal distribution not only because it superior quality and features but also because the long-time reliability test of the equipment. The soccer tournament was broadcast in H.264 HD signals and then distributed via satellite, IPTV and mobile TV. Wellav's decoders and encoders are deployed in IPTV distribution from the broadcast station to VIP rooms in the soccer stadiums, live shows at public squares and to the TVs shows at major entertainment places around the world. The UMH160 IRD is broadcast quality MPEG-4 AVC video/audio decoder that performs real-time receiving and decoding of HDTV & SDTV over DVB and broadband IP networks. It supports a rich set of input options including DVB-S/S2, DVB-C, DVB-T, DVB-ASI and IP, enabling it to receive and decode programs from different content sources. The output options range from CVBS, YPbPr, HDMI, AES/EBU, DVB-ASI to HD/SD-SDI and IP (Unicast/Multicast/Broadcast), allowing it to integrate with various applications. Controlled and monitored by network management software and front panel, this user friendly decoder is an ideal equipment for signal conversion and distribution.

UMH 252 is WellAV’s new generation of MPEG-4/H.264 SD/HD encoder. It supports HDMI, HD SDI, YPbPr, CVBS, SPDIF input and ASI and IP output. With improved algorithm and compression efficiency, it presents major improvements in picture quality, offering crisp and vibrant video at extremely low bit-rates. UMH 252 helps deliver more SD/HD video and audio channels in the available bandwidth, enabling the launch of additional HD services in an existing digital video or an IPTV network.
