Multiple System Operators (MSOs) have experienced significant growth in IP traffic due to the growth of video streaming services such as Netflix, YouTube, and Hulu. They need to continuously upgrade their networks to ensure sufficient bandwidth and support emerging use cases.
Wellav IPQAM/Satellite HITS solution offers a cost-effective way to distribute TV signals to various local cable operators. Integrated with a CAS system, the central headend generates uplink/IP signals for distribution via a satellite/IP network. Local cable operators receive the satellite/IP signals and distribute TV programs in their HFC network via a pre-configured plug-and-play Transmodulator/Edge QAM product. In addition, Wellav transmodulators provide HDMI encoding functions for local program distribution.
